Notix
Migration Center

Switch providers without losing a single unsubscribe.

The Migration Center reads your old account or your exported files, brings people over in a safe order, and gives you a plan to move your sending one week at a time. Your old provider keeps working until you switch it off.

How it works

Four screens, from old account to Notix

Click through a migration from SendGrid. The real one lives under Audience in the console.

Connect, review, import, move

Pick your provider and paste a key, or upload your files. Notix shows what it found before anything is written, including any rows it refused and why. Then you import and follow a week-by-week plan to move your sending.

  • Each list comes over as a contact book with its fields
  • Skip any list you do not want
  • Mailchimp's cleaned addresses arrive as hard bounces

The key is kept sealed for one hour at most and deleted when the run ends. A SendGrid key that could change your account is refused before it is used.

Safety

Unsubscribes always come first

Someone who opted out at your old provider must never get mail from Notix, even if an import stops halfway.

Suppressions first

Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints are written before the first contact. The importer enforces the order, not a setting.

Before any contact

Your key, briefly

A pasted key is held sealed for at most an hour and deleted when the import starts or ends. Notix only reads with it and never sends with it.

At most 1 hour

A second pair of eyes

The first campaign or automation to imported contacts is reviewed before it goes out.

No code change

Keep your Resend or SendGrid code while you migrate

Notix accepts their send request as it is and answers in the same shape.

Change a URL and a key

Point your existing send call at the Notix compat URL and send your Notix API key as the bearer token. Your code keeps working while you test Notix with real traffic.

The compat URLs are a bridge, not something to build on. New code should use the Notix email API.

Compat URLs
# Keep your request. Change the URL. Use your Notix key.

- https://api.sendgrid.com/v3/mail/send
+ https://app.usenotix.dev/api/compat/sendgrid/v3/mail/send

- https://api.resend.com/emails
+ https://app.usenotix.dev/api/compat/resend/emails

The same request, the same answer

A Resend send gets Resend's answer back. A SendGrid send gets a 202 with the message id in X-Message-Id, as SendGrid gives it.

Webhooks can also arrive in your old provider's format for 30 days, beside the Notix event and signed with your Notix secret, so your handler keeps working too.

A Resend-shaped send to Notix
curl -X POST https://app.usenotix.dev/api/compat/resend/emails \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $NOTIX_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "from": "Acme <hello@acme.com>",
    "to": ["amara@example.com"],
    "subject": "Welcome",
    "html": "<p>Glad you are here.</p>"
  }'

# 200 {"id": "..."}: the answer Resend would give.
Four weeks

Move your volume gradually

Your domain is new to inbox providers on Notix. A steady climb keeps you out of spam.

15%week one: receipts and codes
40%week two: your most engaged list
75%week three: most broadcasts
100%week four: switch the old one off

A small sender gets a two-step plan instead: there is no reputation to build slowly.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Which providers can Notix read directly?
SendGrid, Resend and Mailchimp. You paste a key from your old account and Notix reads it. Brevo, Postmark, Mailgun and any other provider migrate by the CSV files they already let you export.
What happens to the key I paste?
It is held sealed for at most an hour, and deleted when the import starts or ends. Notix only reads with it and never sends with it. SendGrid can report what a key may do, so a SendGrid key that could change your account is refused. Resend and Mailchimp keys cannot be checked and usually have full access, so make a separate key just for the migration and delete it when the migration is done.
What comes over?
Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints first, then contacts with their custom fields, then segments. Each list becomes a contact book. Templates come over from SendGrid only. Send history and analytics stay with your old provider.
Do I have to change my code on day one?
Not if you send through Resend or SendGrid. Notix accepts their send request at a compat URL and answers in the same shape, so you change a URL and a key. It is there to get you migrated: new code should use the Notix API.
Why is my first campaign reviewed?
After an import, the first campaign or automation to the imported contacts is held for a short review. An import is the one moment a mistake reaches thousands of people at once. Until the review is done, sends through the compat URL are refused with a clear error.
Do I have to switch everything at once?
No. Keep your old provider running. Notix suggests moving 15% of your volume in week one, then 40%, 75% and finally 100%, so mailbox providers see a sender that grows steadily.
