Get paid for the teams you send to Notix.

Share a link, and every team that signs up through it is yours. You earn a commission on what they actually pay Notix, for a term per customer, paid out by hand in your own currency.

The programme

A link, a commission, a payout you can check.

This is the partner programme, not the customer referral programme. Partners earn cash on payments; customers earn product credit for bringing a friend, and the two never apply to the same team.

You do not have to be a customer.

Anyone with an audience of developers or founders can apply: a newsletter, a YouTube channel, a community, an agency that ships for clients. You get a tracking link whether or not you send a single email through Notix yourself.

Attribution is recorded once, and it sticks.

A click on your link sets a cookie on the app. When someone creates a team inside the cookie window, that team is written down as yours at the moment it is created, and it stays yours. Nothing about it is re-decided later.

Every payment counts, not just the first.

Both kinds of payment Notix takes earn: a card subscription invoice and a wallet top-up in naira or shillings. Each one earns a commission of its own for as long as that customer is inside your term.

You see your customers, masked.

Your dashboard lists the teams attributed to you with a first name and an initial and a partial email, so you can tell them apart and follow up with the ones you already know. Notix never hands over a full address.

How earning works

Five steps, and none of them are automatic money.

  1. Apply from the console.

Sign in, open the Affiliate page and tell us where you will promote Notix, who your audience is, and how you want to be paid. Payout details are stored encrypted; only the operator paying you can read them. An operator reviews every application by hand.

  2. Share your link.

Approval gives you a link with your own code on it. Clicks are counted daily so you can see which post or video did the work, and the window a click stays good for is one of the terms below.

  3. Your customers pay, and you earn on the net.

A commission is calculated on what Notix actually received: the customer's payment, minus the card or wallet processor's fee, minus any top-up fee Notix charged. Your statement shows the gross, each fee and the net side by side, so the number is never something you have to take on trust.

  4. A holdback period passes.

A new commission is pending for a holdback before it becomes payable, because a payment can still be refunded or reversed. A reversal inside the holdback cancels the commission; one after it nets against your next payout instead. The holdback is set in your terms and shown on every row.

  5. You ask for the money, and a person sends it.

Once your payable balance in a currency reaches the minimum for it, you can request a payout, or wait for the monthly run. Payouts are made by hand: bank transfer or HitchPay in Nigeria and Kenya, PayPal everywhere else. The operator records the reference and you get a statement by email.

Current terms

The numbers, as they stand today.

Current terms are shown after you sign in. Applications are open to anyone with an audience of developers or founders.

Minimum payout amounts differ by currency and are shown beside your balance in the console. An operator may also agree different terms with you; those, not the defaults above, are what your own dashboard states. Nothing on this page is an offer of employment or a partnership, and Notix can decline or end a partnership under the terms of service.

Who it is for

People who would have recommended it anyway.

Newsletters, channels and communities.

If the people who read you ship software, the link belongs in the tooling post you were writing anyway. Nothing here asks you to run ads or hit a quota.

Agencies and consultancies.

You already choose the email provider on every build. Attribution is per team, so each client you set up earns on its own account rather than being folded into one of yours.

Anyone selling into Nigeria and Kenya.

Notix prices and bills in naira and shillings through a local wallet, so a customer you send does not need a dollar card to pay. Their top-ups earn the same commission a card invoice does.

FAQ

Questions a partner asks first.

Do I have to be a Notix customer to take part?
No. The programme is open to partners who never send a single email through Notix. You do sign in to apply, because the application, the link, the dashboard and the payout requests all live on a team in the console.
What is the commission actually calculated on?
The net payment, not the sticker price. Notix takes the amount the customer paid, subtracts the processor's fee for that payment and any top-up fee it charged, and applies your rate to what is left. Where a processor reports its fee late, the commission is calculated on the gross and corrected by an adjustment row once the real fee arrives, which is shown on the statement as its own line.
When does a commission become payable, and how am I paid?
Each commission is pending through the holdback in your terms, then becomes payable. When your payable balance in a currency reaches the minimum for that currency you can request a payout from the console. Payouts are manual: an operator sends the money by bank transfer or HitchPay in Nigeria and Kenya, or by PayPal elsewhere, records the reference, and Notix emails you the statement behind it.
What if someone arrives through a customer's referral link as well as mine?
A team is attributed once and to one source. Notix runs a separate referral programme for customers, and a referral recorded at signup wins over an affiliate link. Beyond that it is first click within the cookie window. A link cannot attribute someone on your own team, or a team on a domain you have already verified.
Can the terms change after I am approved?
The rate, the term, the cookie window and the holdback are settings an operator can change, and an operator can also set terms for you alone that differ from the defaults. Your console shows the terms that apply to you, and every commission row keeps the rate it was calculated at, so a change never rewrites what you have already earned.
